da dobrowin: The Times have linked Spurs with a phenomenal switch for Gareth Bale on transfer deadline day.
da pinnacle: The newspaper has claimed that Tottenham are confident of landing the Real Madrid man today with Daniel Levy flying out to meet their president Florentino Perez for talks.
However, those rumours have had cold water poured on them by not only Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, but also journalist Alasdair Gold.
Taking to Twitter to address the report, he commented:
Given Bale’s age and his astronomical wages, it certainly makes sense that Spurs wouldn’t be in for him.
However, if they can get a deal across the line, it would be a huge marker from both Levy and Mourinho over their intentions for the rest of the season.
Calling all transfer experts! How much did each of these Deadline Day signings cost?
Bale may only have scored three times this season but this is a player who won the PFA Player of the Year when he was previously in north London.
