Former Sheffield United full back Walker spent 2010/11 on loan at QPR and Aston Villa, making 38 appearances in total and forcing his way into Fabio Capello’s senior England squad. The 21-year-old has had limited senior opportunities in Harry Redknapp’s side since joining in 2009, but has prolonged his stay by extending his contract until 2016.
Rose’s versatility may be a key asset to Spurs in the upcoming season, as the former Leeds man can operate at left back or left wing. He has prolonged his deal with the North London club to 2015, after impressing during his four game spell in the first team’s defence at the culmination of last term. Since signing for Tottenham in 2007 he has spent time on loan at Watford, Peterborough and most recently Bristol City.
The youngsters will give Redknapp strength in depth in the full back position, which is deemed to be a problem area for last campaign’s fifth placed side.
