da apostebet: Real Madrid are planning to make a summer swoop for Manchester City star Sergio Aguero, according to The Mirror.
da pinnacle: What’s the story?
The Argentina international has been City’s main man for years since his switch from Atletico Madrid in 2011.
Under Pep Guardiola this season, though, doubts have been poured over his future.
The striker has been benched on occasion by the Spaniard, leading to suggestions that Aguero does not comfortably fit into the manager’s way of playing.
The Mirror reports that after new teenage arrival Gabriel Jesus was preferred to Aguero for Wednesday night’s 4-0 rout over West Ham United, Madrid believe that this summer would be the best time to try to lure the unsettled 28-year-old to the Bernabeu.
The publication adds that Guardiola has made it clear that he does not want to sell Aguero, who has three years left on his contract.

Is it time for Aguero to go?
From City’s point of view, selling a player of the Argentine’s calibre would not make any sense unless they had a like-for-like replacement.
Jesus impressed in his first Premier League start for the North-West outfit, scoring one goal and making another, but at the age of 19 he still has plenty of developing to do before he becomes a formidable force.
Offloading Aguero while having the Brazilian as their best attacking option would be a huge risk to take.
From the player’s point of view, he may be concerned that from now on his game time will be limited, despite scoring 15 goals in all competitions so far this season.
Perhaps not right away, but it is clear that Jesus has come in to provide competition for Aguero, which would suggest to him that he is no longer the main man.
The lure of Madrid would be tough for the South American to say no to, and after six years at City, he may feel that the time is right to move on.
