Van Dijk was widely considered the best centre-back in the world before his injury, but his reputation has only grown since being out, such have been the Premier League champions’ struggles.
The 29-year-old is not expected to feature for the Reds until next season, but his much-anticipated return does appear to be edging closer all the time.
On Thursday, Van Dijk posted a video on Twitter showing him running at Liverpool’s AXA Training Centre, with the Netherlands captain showing good mobility and seemingly in good spirits.
